Welcome readers.  My goal is to leave a written legacy for my children and  grandchildren, to do as William Wordsworth purposed, “to fill the page with the breathings of my heart,” or as another expressed, “to be a pencil in the hand of God.”  I am inspired to view life as Elizabeth Barret Browning so poignantly wrote, “Earth’s crammed with heaven, And every common bush aflame with God.  But only those who see take off their shoes.  The rest sit around and pluck blackberries.”  Thus I endeavor to take off my shoes and see, to be drawn to the flame with at least one verse of Scripture each day, though I usually can’t stop at just one.

As the mother of six and the grandmother of twenty grand and great grands, I might slip in a sweet word here and a photo there of our littles.  My husband and I have been married 45 years and counting while he pastored six churches preaching holiness in California and Oregon.  Yet, Colorado has always held a piece of my heart (thus the heading photo of my parent’s house in Lake City).

Though I graduated with an art major from Point Loma University, I have gravitated over the years to writing.  I authored a biography of my grandmother,  Ruby Robinson Wise, “Miss Ruby from Texas,” (Schmul Publishing with a copy in Asbury Seminary’s library).  My other books of fiction can be found on Amazon kindle or ever so often, my Just For Fun Fiction Short Stories here on my blog.

I am an avid reader of Christian historical fiction and also enjoy seeing history through the lens of ancestry.com.  But it always comes back to the one Book and understanding history as His story.
